What a Ride!

It has been an honor to serve as your Chairman.

I think of all the people I have met over the past 18 months while serving as Chairman and know I will cherish these wonderful experiences for the rest of my life. There are many people I would like to thank.

Thank you to the Executive Board and fellow Directors for their fortitude and insight towards sustained growth and future vision as this body goes forward. It has been my privilege to serve with Directors who value participation and interaction.

While we all have been reflecting on our business practices and economic standards, the Coppell Chamber remains a standard for excellence.

I want to make clear that this is only possible because of the tremendous Chamber staff. Thank you Beverly Widner, Margie Marek, Lori Young, LuLu Mayo and Margaret Bryan.

Amidst all the ribbon cuttings, committee activities, luncheons, networking events and daily referral inquiries along with executing major fund-raisers such as the Coppell Community Gala and annual Chamber Golf Classic, the Chamber staff is in perpetual motion.

This team has put forward incredible efforts to enrich the Coppell community by providing excellent membership service, opportunities for business growth and development and encouraging community investment.

There remains one final thanks to extend. It goes to my very special family who have put up with countless hours of my absence. They have supported me as always and given me love and laughs along the way. To them, I am most thankful.

In these departing words to the Coppell community, know that you have a wonderful organization in your midst. Over the past twenty years, the Coppell Chamber has given much to us in the form of support for our businesses, providing scholarships for our kids, hosting numerous community activities and so much more.

During my tenure, I’ve seen this membership grow in more than just numbers. Please remember that these local businesses cannot survive without your support.
