Many Changes at The Coppell Chamber!

Aug 04, 2011

It has been 90 days since I became the President/CEO of The Chamber, and I cannot tell you how welcoming this community has been. During this transition, your Chamber staff has continued our mission: to enhance and promote the business environment and quality of life in Coppell, TX.

We work toward this mission every day through our various committees, task forces and program of work. We are committed to helping your business continue to be successful, and we look forward to any questions or comments you may have to help us provide the top tier service you and your business deserve.

The Coppell Chamber has a committee to fit any business – big or small.

Education Committee

The Education Committee provides service to all schools serving Coppell including Coppell ISD, the Carrollton-Farmers Branch and Lewisville ISDs, Universal Academy and Manara Academy. One of our many programs through the Education Committee is the annual New Teacher Breakfast. This breakfast welcomes teachers new to Coppell. This is meant to serve as an informative breakfast with guest speakers and local business leaders showing support for local education. We also pass out goodie bags at the breakfast as well as deliver additional bags to schools serving Coppell students.

Business Resource Council

Our newly formed Business Resource Council will provide businesses with additional support through various programs. Chamber University and Mega Market are two such programs. These are very different, but serve to help businesses. Chamber University is designed as a bimonthly Business Seminar series. Topics will Beginning and Intermediate QuickBooks, Ensuring Your Business is Prepared for Any Crisis and Financial Fitness. Mega Market is “speed dating” for businesses. During this fast-paced networking opportunity, you meet with a wide variety of area businesses.

Special Events

A committee that is always looking for great volunteers is our Special Events Committee. This group of volunteers help with major events such as the annual Chamber Golf Classic and Taste of Coppell. The Golf Tournament is just around the corner and we are excited to bring it back to Coppell. Join us on September 30th at Riverchase Golf Club. We are also working on the 2nd Annual Taste of Coppell. This new event showcases our local restaurants and eateries in a fun and entertaining atmosphere. We will have celebrity judges and awards for crowd favorite and best decorations. Come see who takes home the Golden Fork.

These are just a few of the ways you can become more involved in the Coppell Chamber of Commerce. We hope you have become a friend of our Facebook page, and we also hope you take a look at our website at www.coppellchamber.org. Find our Chamber Member Directory, upcoming events and much more. Please stop by The Chamber to discuss how we can continue to help your business be successful.

Warm regards,

Tony Moline
