Endings and New Beginnings
Mar 24, 2011It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve as your Coppell Chamber of Commerce President. Prior to being President, I also served as Membership Director - for a combined total of over 13 years at the Coppell Chamber.
During my tenure, we have added value and increased Chamber member benefits such as marketing opportunities, networking and business education.
Our committees - Education, Government, Leads Group, Green Force and Ambassadors - have provided enrichment for our members and our community.
We’ve also been known to host some great community Galas and Golf Tournaments! Our first annual Taste of Coppell was a tremendous success, so look for that again this fall.
I have been honored to work with many fine people over the years. The amazing Chamber staff is like family to me, and sincerely works to achieve our mission to make Coppell a great place to live and work.
The nineteen member Board of Directors is truly dedicated to supporting our Chamber members and maintaining a strong local economy.
Many thanks to our current Board chair, Christi Greene, for her help this year and her efforts to navigate the search for new Chamber leadership. I am sincerely excited for the new president and the great future ahead for the Coppell Chamber!
I am especially proud of the collaboration with the Chamber, City leadership and our local school districts.
Our city and business community have experienced many positive changes and progress while navigating through some very challenging economic times. I can honestly say that we are all “on the same page” with sincere efforts to keep our community strong. There are many dedicated leaders and volunteers that make this happen!
The many wonderful relationships and friendships I have made at the Chamber have greatly impacted my life, and I am sure they will continue. I haven’t figured out my next life chapter, but it will be hard to compare to these 13 great years!
