BIG Events = Good Times at The Chamber
Sep 01, 2011The Coppell Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber) continues to support businesses in and around Coppell. We are committed to helping your business continue to be successful, and we are looking forward to any questions or comments you may have that will help us provide the top tier service you and your business deserve. September is going to be a very busy month for the Coppell Chamber of Commerce.
September is going to be a very busy month for the Coppell Chamber of Commerce. We are gearing up and looking forward to hosting Chamber University, September Membership Luncheon, Community Night with FC Dallas, the 18th Annual Coppell Chamber Golf Classic, and the 2nd Annual Taste of Coppell presented by Frost Bank.
In addition to these wonderful events, we will continue our committees with the Business Resource Council, Governmental Affairs, Education Committee and our Leads and Ambassador Groups.
The Chamber University Business Seminar Series sponsored by the City of Coppell continues providing what our members are asking for. After our first seminar we surveyed those who participated and asked what they would like to see at the next Chamber U? The response was overwhelming with a Microsoft Excel class. We are planning a webinar for September 8th that will help address the “Microsoft Basics” skills that our members want.
After a “summer break” we are excited to bring back our Membership Luncheon. This month we will have guest speakers giving the community an update on the two largest transportation projects that affect Coppell. Representatives from the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDoT), LBJ Infrastructure Group and Kiewit will give an overview and update on these projects. Our luncheon will be held at Embassy Suites Outdoor World on Friday, September 9th and will begin at 11:30am.
In a partnership with FC Dallas, the Coppell Chamber of Commerce and the Coppell Community Development Foundation will present Coppell Community Night at FC Dallas on Saturday, September 17th. Enjoying a game of major league soccer, you will be able to give back to the community. A portion of each ticket sold goes back to the Coppell Chamber of Commerce and the Coppell Community Development Foundation. For more information about how to participate, contact John Leake with FC Dallas at 469.365.0044.
Enjoy golf? You are going to love the 18th Annual Coppell Chamber Golf Classic on Friday, September 30th. This annual event is moving back to Coppell and will be held at the newly renovated Riverchase Golf Club. We have also made the tournament more affordable for everybody to enjoy a round of golf and support the Coppell Chamber of Commerce in the process. Registration begins at 11:30 with a putting contest, poker run, “Baby Come Back” and other fun games. We will end the tournament with a complimentary BBQ dinner provided by Hard Eight BBQ. Be sure to find out more about this tournament online.
Finally, we are excited to host the 2nd Annual Taste of Coppell presented by Frost Bank on Saturday, October 1st also at Riverchase Golf Club. This event was one of the most popular The Chamber hosted in 2010. We are looking forward to having more restaurants and more participants this year. We are going to “step it up” and have a panel of judges, a crowd favorite, and a best decorated table contest. Our celebrity judges will include former Dallas Cowboy and Super Bowl Champion Mike Saxon, WFAA Meteorologist and Anchor Colleen Coyle and our local celebrity panel.
These are some of the events the Coppell Chamber of Commerce is working on for you. We hope you have become a friend of our Facebook Page and we also hope you have looked at our website at www.coppellchamber.org. On our website you can find member information, our Chamber Directory, upcoming events and much more.
Please stop by The Chamber to discuss how we can continue to help your business be successful.
